Upper School curriculum emphasizes skills development and the values of problem solving, preparing students for whatever post-secondary educational challenge they choose. The Upper School is committed to the research process, to linguistic, cultural, and aesthetic literacies and the on-going exploration of serious moral and ethical issues that help students shape their value systems. Upper School students work with faculty to seek a balance in the many academic, artistic, athletic, community and social demands challenging the young men and women of the school. Central to the school’s program is a commitment to educate students in all areas of human endeavor, including those involving social justice and self-awareness. Ultimately, we serve unique individuals, each with gifts and strengths that, given the right environment and encouragement from passionate, educated, caring adults, will enable each student to live a life of purpose and value.
