There’s a new instructional model that has teachers flipping! It’s called the “Flipped Classroom,” and it is one more great teaching strategy in a teacher’s repertoire that facilitates student learning. The IPA Robotics team was formed in 2010 when middle school team members competed in a BrushBots tournament at the Hawaii State Capitol. IPA’s robotics team has grown into a larger robotics program and now includes high school students. Competing against some 60 other teams of middle and high school students, the IPA Robotics Team placed eighth overall in the Hawaii Botball Regional Robotics tournament held on May 7. This was the first tournament for the IPA team, made up of twelve 6th graders and four 8th graders.
