The student body reflects the cultural, ethnic and economic diversity of Hawaii.  They join with faculty and staff to create a campus culture marked by openness and inclusivity.  They articulate an “IPA way” that stresses kindness, respect, helpfulness and concern for each other.

Their engagement reflects the strong relationships between teachers and students. Over time, students develop the self-confidence which comes from accomplishment, setting and meeting one’s own goals, and interaction with an adult community at IPA that cares deeply about the growth and development of each student.
