In creating a Middle School program we addressed fundamental questions about the middle school learner. How young adolescents learn best and how to support their emotional and social development are central concerns of the IPA Middle School. An integrated, interdisciplinary, inquiry-based and project-approach curriculum is the heart of the program. World Languages, art, music and physical education are required for all students. Our advisory program, Academic Counseling, Town Hall, Make-A-Difference Days, and Student Leadership Team are but some of the ways in which we facilitate emotional literacy and emphasize socially responsible, ethical behaviors.
