The inaugural season for the WestPac intermediate baseball team ended on a high note on April 17 as the Wolverines defeated St. Francis, 13-8 at Central Oahu Regional Park. The team ended its season going 4-4 in its last eight games after starting the season 0-3. Having won the March 15 ILH tournament at the Hawaii Prince Golf Club in Kapolei with a score of 68, senior Christian Yagi is on his way to qualifying to play in the state golf championships later this spring. In his third consecutive appearance at the state swimming and diving championships, junior Austin Hirstein picked up his first state championship with a dominating victory in the 100 yard backstroke. Hirstein's time of 50.83 was nearly two seconds faster than his nearest competitor.
