Curiosity and creativity are nurtured at IPA, along with critical thinking and fundamental skills necessary to learn and apply knowledge to real-world problems. Important foundations are laid in the elementary grades for the rigorous academic program that culminates in opportunities to do college level work in the upper school through honors and Advanced Placement classes in all departments.

IPA is currently a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary (JK-5), Middle Years (6-10), and Diploma Programmes. This commitment to become an IB World School reflects the academic standards which have been present at IPA from the beginning.

Art, music, technology, world languages and PE are part of the regular curriculum for all students, including elementary grades.
